This DIY peppermint bath soak is the best thing since sliced bread! I am in love! While thinking of what gifts I would give to my friends this year for Christmas, I came up with this idea for making a bath soak! So I made these adorable little bath soaks and that night I thought I’d make one for myself and try it. A peppermint bath combined with a sunflower detox herbal tea, man, my night couldn’t get any better! The peppermint essential oil in the bath soak is so calming and refreshing! Peppermint essential oil has so many benefits including :
- Reduces stomach aches
- Soothe digestive issues
- Relieves headaches
- Antimicrobial properties
- Improves mental focus
- Clears respiratory tract
- Boosts energy
- Releases tight muscles
- Cost-effective natural solution to replace pharmaceutical drugs
Maybe instead of labeling this peppermint bath soak, I’ll label it nirvana bath soak. Yes, it’s that good. This soak would be perfect for clearing you up when congested and can do wonders for aching muscles! So this year let’s give a gift that gives back, and not just another gingerbread lotion.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 1 cup Epsom salt
- 1/2 cup Sea salt
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 5-10 drops of Peppermint essential oil
- Food Color
- Jar or container (Mine was .83 cents at Hobby Lobby!)
Mix together epsom salt, sea salt, and baking soda. Then add your peppermint oil and mix. At this point your bath soak is done, but you can spice it up with some fun colors! My favorite was the crushed peppermint candy look! Like how adorable right?
Crushed Peppermint Candy look:
Add 2 drops of red food color into your bath soak and use a fork to separate the drop into tiny pieces. Distribute the pieces all over and that’s it! Easy Peasy! Sprinkle as much, or as little, as you want into a warm bath and enjoy! (I do about 1/4 c in my bath!)
What are you getting your friends this year? Even if you already got your friends gifts, you NEED to try this DIY Peppermint Bath Soak! I am serious, it is a great stress reliever and, if nothing else, it smells amazing! Don’t forget to share on Pinterest, Twitter, or Facebook using the little bubbles on the left!
