A bit ago I DIYed adorable tassel paperclip bookmarks to use as tabs to get myself a little more organized around here! Well, I just couldn’t help put make a few more, this time with DIY pom poms and some neon yarn!
Check out my tassel bookmarks here!
You can make a million of these little guys in just a few minutes! Use them for all your textbooks and planners to add personality to your work!
I found all of my supplies at Target. Try not to get too distracted with all the amazing things in Target or you may end up with a cart full of amazing, yet unplanned items. 😛
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Paperclips – gold 100ct $3 @ Target
- Yarn – $2.80 Neon @Hobby Lobby
- Scissors
- Total about 6 cents per pom pom bookmark!
Take your yarn and wrap it around your pointer and middle finger about 20 times. You can wrap more or less depending on your desired size of your pom pom, then cut the end.
take another 5″ string of yarn and pinch in in between your pointer and middle finger, slide the wrapped yarn off your fingers and pull the single string of yarn through.
Tie the string in a knot, fill the wrap over and tie in another knot.
Thread on your paper clip and double knot again.
Take your scissors and cut the loops in the yarn. The Yarn will now look like a crazy puff ball.
Trim away the pom pom till it is circular and there aren’t any strays.
Done!
If you need a little more organization in your life, or just want a placeholder for your favorite book. I’m sure you’ll make a million and plant them everywhere! [themify_icon icon=”fa-heart-o” link=”http://”] Cassie Jean
