We’ve been trying to get a little more organized over here (the pantry and Jamie’s closet mostly). While creating tabs for one of my binders to keep my church responsibilities organized, I thought of this awesome idea! I know I’ve seen these tassel paperclip bookmarks, probably Pinterest, and thought those would be so easy to make!
As a result, I decided to make these bad boys for my blogging planner and binders as paper tabs! Each color represents something different and is an easy and stylish way to keep yourself organized!
The best part is they take minutes to make and are super cheap! I bought an entire pack of gold paperclips from Target then got the embroidery floss from Hobby Lobby, although you can find all these items just at Target!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Paperclips
- Embroidery floss
- Scissor
First open your paper clip and thread it though the loop in your embroidery floss, then close the paper clip.
Cut off the floss to about 1 1/2″ and cut a single string about 4″ long.
Place the single string under the tassle and tie in a knot towards the top of the tassel.
Wrap around the remaining end tightly then, using your scissors, tuck in the end of the wrapped string under the wrap. (Don’t open the scissors!)
If you need a little more organization in your life, or just want a placeholder for your favorite book, you have to try both of these awesome DIYs! [themify_icon icon=”fa-heart-o” link=”http://”] Cassie Jean

Trying to tie a knot around the tassle is IMPOSSIBLE!!
WHERE’S THE VIDEO SHOWING SOMEONE TYING THE KNOT. The threads ravel, the 4″ string is not long enough.

Cynthia WalkerMy first was seemingly impossible then I put a rubber band around the other end holding them together and found it a little easier. Mine isn’t as nice as the picture. I think I’ll iron the ends. But it is a very novel (no pun intended) idea. I think I should try several and they might get better.
