Jamie’s nursery is coming along slowly but surely! My newest addition is this beautiful DIY Sleepy Eyes Pillow! I love quick DIYs and this is one of them, it only took an hour! So go grab a pillow, and some fabric and get going! You can also find the tutorial for this awesome triangle quilt I made here!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Throw pillow
- 2/3 yard of White fabric. (I used a flannel)
- White thread
- Sewing machine
- Iron on printer transfer paper
- My Sleepy Eyes print out
- Printer
- Scissors
- Iron
Start by washing and drying your fabric, fold it in half and cut your fabric to be an inch smaller than the width of your pillow leaving the length long. We will be tucking it later. (The fabric should be skinnier than the pillow, I had to recut mine from the picture below)
Sew around three sides of your pillow case using 1/2″ seam allowances. Your final pillow case should be about 2″ smaller than your pillow after sewing, so the case fits snug. I had to recut and sew my case smaller to do this.
Next print My Sleepy Eyes print out on iron on printer transfer paper and cut out a set.
Flip your pillow cover right side out, and iron on your Sleepy Eyes using the directions for your specific iron on printer transfer paper.
Tuck in the bottom open end.
Now you’re done! You have your very own DIY Sleepy Eyes pillow! Throw it on a couch or chair or in you little one’s crib! Also get creative and use the rest of your Sleepy Eyes for something else! Slippers, a t-shirt, a onesie! If you liked this DIY don’t forget to pin it! [themify_icon icon=”fa-heart-o” link=”http://”] Cassie Jean
