Glitter roots are so incredibly easy and so cheap! I know you’ve been searching Pinterest for the perfect New Years party hair, so once you’ve found the hairstyle you love, top it off with these awesome glitter roots!
I found that the glitter stays best on hair that doesn’t move very much. The movement increases fall out, so try an up-do or half up-do I have the perfect double dutch braid bun half up hairstyle that would look amazing with a little glitter!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Mixing bowl
- Color brush
- Glitter
- Hair gel
This Tutorial is incredibly easy, and kind of self explanatory! Mix the glitter and gel together and apply to your roots!
I am using a travel size hair gel I got for $1.50 and a tube of silver glitter from Walmart for .88 cents.
Yes, these glitter roots cost you $2.38 and multiple applications!
Squeeze only enough gel into your bowl that you will need for application, I made tons! You really only need about tablespoon of gel for the look I did.
Let the gel dry and don’t touch it! The more you touch it, the more fall out you’ll get! Try mixing different colors, making stripes, or even adding glitter stars! Check out Pinterest to find some awesome inspiration, and hit the parties!
