Do you know how many teams of people it takes to get everything done for some of the most successful women out there?!
Do you know how many house keepers, assistants, publicists, chefs, nannies, etc. that it takes to keep some of the most successful women and mothers at the top of their game?! And you won’t even ask your husband to do a load of laundry?!

For whatever reason especially when it comes to motherhood we have this attitude that, to be a good mom we have to do it all, all by ourselves. And if we don’t do it all or can’t do it all then we are weak or failures. So we sacrifice our own dreams because “that’s just what you’re supposed to do”

WHY⁉️
Guess what sister there is no law in life or in motherhood that says you have to do it all by yourself! So if you have a goal or a dream that has been weighing on your heart but you’ve been pushing it off because you’ve got all these other things to do, ASK 👏🏻FOR 👏🏻HELP.👏🏻

This was the year that I decided who I wanted to be. This was the year that I committed to becoming my best self.

Close your eyes and picture yourself 10 years from now. If everything in your life when right, and you were 10 years from now THE VERY BEST VERSION of you, your DREAM SELF, what would that person look like?

Who is that person? What does she look like? What does she do all day? What’s her personality? What does she drive? What does she eat? What’s her relationship like?

Write it all down.
Write it all down in detail and ask yourself what 10 things need to happen in the next ten years to become that best, dream self?

2019 for me was about getting healthy, but guess what? When you’re focused on becoming your best self, then even when you’re only focused on one goal everything else in your life rises too.

🚨70 LBS GONE!!🚨
1️⃣ After I got married I gained 10 lbs. (Thanks to a plethora of restaurant gift cards)
2️⃣ Then when I was pregnant with Jamie (My first) I gained 30 more lbs...
3️⃣ But after I had Jamie, my bad eating habits I developed during my pregnancy and first parts of my marriage only continued. Which resulted in this picture on the left. I gained an additional 30 lbs for a (very grand) total of 70 lbs gained since I got married.

And to celebrate passing the 200lb mark 😳... my family went on an amazing trip to Costa Rica to document it.

Y’all, when I saw these pictures I wanted to crawl into a hole and cry. I didn’t even know who that person was.

So as soon as we got home from that trip I decided to do something about my health for the millionth time. That summer I lost 15lbs only to fall off the wagon and gain it all back.
It was this constant roller coaster of taking two steps forward and two steps back for an entire year.
And then I got pregnant with Mickey...
👶🏻
It was a big reality check for me. I told myself that continuing bad habits and gaining an extra 70 lbs every time I had a kid was not going to be a recurring thing for me.
🙅🏼‍♀️
After two miscarriages and praying for another baby so freaking hard, I wasn’t about to let something I👏🏻 CAN👏🏻 CONTROL👏🏻 put a damper on the one thing my heart desired most.

I thought, what if I actually kept this promise to myself just this once? What if this time I ACTUALLY did it? What if instead of finding excuses, I pushed through the hard stuff and stepped into the person I was made to be?
👊🏻
So while I was pregnant I stopped eating so much crap, and when Mickey got here I got to the real work.
💪🏻
In the process I learned that when the tide rises it truly lifts all the boats. I wasn’t just losing the weight but I was becoming my best self. Other areas in my life started to increase and My entire perspective changed.

So here’s to 70 lbs gone! Back to my HIGH SCHOOL WEIGHT! 😱 And to becoming your best self.
I’m so proud of everything I’ve done in 2019. 2020, watch out!

3 things that helped me double my blog income this year:
1️⃣ @jennifer.maker ‘s Pinterest Launch Plan eBook! (Seriously the best Pinterest training I’ve found for such a low price!!)
2️⃣The Stupid Simple SEO course! Seriously upped my blog traffic and I still have a few modules to go!
3️⃣ But mostly, focusing on serving. (Especially my email list!) This was the biggest one. When I put my main focus on SERVING my readers Instead of sales funnels or snappy Pinterest graphics, I am better able to get to know my readers, what their problems are and help them find solutions. When I do this everything rises. Their trust, my fulfillment, their loyalty, my quality of content, business, income, traffic, everything!

10 years, 10 dreams, 1 goal.☝🏻
When you think about your best self 10 years from now, imagine everything in your life went exactly the way you wanted it to, and accomplished everything you wanted to accomplish in those ten years and you were the VERY BEST version of yourself. What does person look like? Who is that person?

What does she do every day? How does she act? What does she look like? What does she eat? What does she drive? What does she wear? What are her habits? Is she optimistic? Is she fearless and joyful? Is she always smiling? Does she rock a red lip everyday? Is she up at 6am without fail?

Who is that person? When you close your eyes and see the VERY BEST, DREAM VERSION OF YOU 10 years from now what do you see??

Now what 10 DREAMS if accomplished would get you there? What are 10 things that would need to happen to become that very best self? NYC best seller? Make six figures a year? Are in the best shape of your life? What are those things for YOU?

Now, what is the one goal that would bring you closest to your ideal self 10 years from now? Hone it in. And focus on it. Which dream are you going to make happen first? What one goal is going to be your North Star until it is accomplished?

Now focus in on that goal. Write it down everyday. Keep it front of mind and get to work. Everyday I write down 5 things I’m grateful for to remind me that my present is good and wonderful. Then I write down my 10 dreams to keep me focused on the person I want to become. And finally I identify the 1 goal I am going to accomplish first to keep me focused so I can make a big impact on one dream at a time instead of tiny dents in a bunch of different things never really getting anywhere.
